Repetitive Signal Rejection
Each Microwave/PIR Motion Detector in the Quest series employs algorithms that reject
signals due to constant, repetitive motion that might otherwise cause the microwave
channel to be in constant alarm. Real-life examples of this include:
Attic or exhaust fans hidden from view
Water moving through a plastic drain pipe
This unique algorithm continuously examines the input signal to determine if a
microwave disturbance is present for an extended period of time. Once recognized, the
processing criteria are modified to reject that particular repetitive signal source
without any loss of detection performance.
