False Alarm Reduction Features

A majority of false alarms occur during exit. If a user closes the door improperly, Vista-20HW sends a unique report to the central station and alerts the user, while keeping the rest of the protection points armed.

Loose connections or broken wires can also contribute to false alarms. The Vista-20HW can distinguish between a maintenance issue and an actual alarm. It monitors zone terminals to see if the resistance fluctuates. If it sees a zone beyond its tolerance, it tells you that something is wrong.

End User Simplicity

The Vista-20HW supports the VISTA Interactive Phone that simplifies your customer's life.

• 4285­­VISTA Interactive Phone (VIP) module allows touch tone telephones to function as local or remote keypads. Responds in high quality English, with over a 100 word vocabulary for zone descriptors and user prompts.
